for ~Ioshuaus, of two of his characters, mehranir and ioshuaus, relaxing after some romping and fooling around in this large, peaceful valley, overlooked by a large glacial mountain.
hofuck, background o.o i think i'm getting the hang of backgrounds, tried a whole new... general sketch method. worked beautifully i think.
download for slightly larger size if you want. though, this was originally 4000x3000 pixels, uploaded one here is 1500x1125.
was $50, though it took me all day to do (seriously, about 10 hours). i might have to reconsider my pricing... oh well.
Two Happy Dragons is a nice deviation showing off some of the talent of =Draconigenae666.
=Draconigenae666 has always been known, at least in my personal opinion, for creating dragons that are both interesting in design and well drawn. However I am very impressed with this piece. The poses on the characters are very lifelike. The two look very content and relaxed, although I must question if its comfortable on the wings.
While =Draconigenae666 has never been known for her backgrounds, no offense, this piece blows that out of the water. The background, while far from ideal, is in fact a well made background that suits the scene. The grass is beautifully done and I can almost feel the wind blowing through it. Trees and clouds are okay and I really don't have any complaints about them. In fact the clouds are nice and pleasing to look at.
The mountains however could use some touch ups. =Draconigenae666 mentions in her artist comments that they are glacial mountains, but still a few things could be changed. Their biggest problem is they are far too blocky. While yes ice is known from cracking at strange angles it mostly does that in small scale. At this distance they would smooth themselves out. A personal preference although this is in no way wrong would be to put the white on the top and fade to other colors like green or brown partway down with specs of brown in the top.
Two happy dragons while not being the best and having its flaws is still a fabulous piece of art that any dragon lover will enjoy.
