OHAI THERE. I have great news for anyone who wants to get more comments and critiques on their images, free art, and develop as an artist.

#TeamHue and #TeamSaturation

Basically a points system war that encourages people to give better comments and critiques, and hopefully help people get better at drawing what they do. Not just for any genre of artist, but you must be at least a visual artist working with a drawn medium (no sculpture yet, sorry, but digital 3d art is accepted ).

You earn points for comments you give, receive, and images you submit. You can then use these points to "attack" members of the opposing team to get free art! 8D

Read the rules on either team, and join up! It's easy, and can be great exposure for anyone new.

Pick your teams wisely! We're new now, and have few members, but that's expected to change. Spread the word!

Here's what's up, for anyone that noticed my lack of ... uploading, here.

Laptop dead. Desktop stolen. ***** EDIT!!!! Waiting on tax return (still)***** Got this now! and insurance claim on desktop. Still paying off Credit Card. Getting $450 a month MAX from work. About to sign a lease to live with my friend in a different location, cause the housemates here are jerks. Need to pay off credit card, save for a replacement computer, AND save for colleging, which I want to be able to do by next september, but I'm likely not going to get to cause I need about... $60k-$70k to pay for the courses. Yay, I'm gonna need some student loans.

Anyway, so I realised, I can do sketches fast, but I have difficulty colouring. So why not do something I've seen of late, where I take 100 $10 sketches?

I'll start a separate journal for anyone interested

FFS. As if my laptop being fried and me being in a dead-end, 10 hour a week @ minimum pay job wasn't enough... My desktop has been stolen >.<

Some twatheads broke into my dad's house and took my tower and my brother's desktop (19 inch lcd included). Oh, and my keyboard. and probably the mouse, didnt ask... monitors and damn good speakers are still there, and the p2 and celeron are still there. parantly there are fingerprints on the monitor... hope my svga/hdmi adapters are still on the monitors.

GRRR. whatever game my dumbass brother left in the cd drive is gone too. have to ask what he left in there so i can get it replaced... eventually. hope all my other games are fine... probably the games that led the thieves to realise my desktop was super awesome. my brother's desktop had a bunch of crap on it, and isnt worth much, cept to my brother for his gaming. hope they left the thinkpad, i like that tank of a machine.

*sighs more*... they went through some stuff in my dad's rooms too, but obviously I'm most pissed about my desktop. was thinking of bringing it here just for storage, today, too... too late now. Hope the police get good fingerprints off of the monitors and speakers, and that the insurance company will reimburse me my $615.41.

I just got that desktop...9 months ago, too. I think I have all my important files here on my XHD, anyway... This is one of the reasons I hate my old neighbourhood... apart from the gun violence, bullies, and harassment.

*stares off into the distance, remembering her baby...* ...damn, it's like a sign I shouldn't work with computers for a living, the laptop frying and desktop stolen... and in French, the work for to steal is the same as to fly, I think. And I wanna be a pilot. And I'm French... half French, anyway...

... well, at least the reimbursement will help pay off the credit card, if i get reimbursed that is. Then... guess I'll have to decide about a laptop... would have to be damn good though, to (temporarily) replace my desktop till i have space for one here. Least my tablet wasn't at the house... Yay, more money things to think about... on top of needing to save $60000 ish for 2 years of flight schooling.

Not going to do the commission plea. It never works, and wouldn't really help fix my situation other than give me enough money for a months rent, at /most/... and I'm kinda a slow drawer, too.

In other news, I have plenty of white and black fur to start making plushies with, starting with my own char for design practise. Already made a mirrored lopsided semicircle pillow for a friend, and the seams came out really nicely, so hoping to get some of those sold to some people irl

Oh, and McD called the other day, hoping theyll call back again, with an offer for a manager position... Cause manager pay is worth working at mcdonald's again. seriously.
